November 19, 12-1PM - Sharing Favorite Career Development Strategies
Join us for this month’s Monthly Connection Point, where career educators gather to exchange their favorite career development assignments, activities, modules, and ideas. This collaborative session offers a valuable opportunity to gain fresh insights and share your own successful practices.
December 10, 12-1PM - Beyond VIPS: Integrating Cultural Context to Enhance Career Development and Career Coaching
This workshop will help you explore the critical role that cultural backgrounds play in shaping career aspirations and choices. We will look at how individuals’ career choices are influenced by social and self-conceptual factors and learn how to apply these concepts to better understand and support your students’ career development.
Fostering Equity
November 13,12-1pm: Employment Outcomes of College Graduates with Disabilities, Addressing Challenges and Creating Opportunities
We will begin with a historical perspective of the employment experiences of college graduates with physical disabilities. We will talk about the laws protecting employees with physical disabilities. We will also discuss about the efforts of the Fehribach Center and other organizations, the impacts of these efforts and the path forward.
CDPI also sponsors additional workshops, typically on a current topic to keep members informed of trends and issues in the discipline.
