Registration

  • This conference is free for CDPI members.

    If you need to renew your membership, please do so by May 10th.
  • This registration is used for all Vendors wishing to participate in the conference. Vendors will have their own breakout room during the Vendor Fair on Wednesday May 26th and will also be able to attend conference sessions if they wish to do so.
  • The $45 conference registration fee will include an annual membership for registrants who are eligible to be a CDPI member in addition to complete conference access. Registrants who opt for this option for conference registration will be sent a form to submit their details to complete their membership in mid-May.

    Active membership is open to those individuals currently employed in career development functions at Indiana colleges or universities or professionals of other organizations whose purpose and mission are linked to career development initiatives. Career development may include student employment, internships and co-op programs, career counseling, and full-time employment programs.

2021 Annual CDPI (Virtual) Conference

May 24th - 27th, 2021 

The annual CDPI conference will bring career services professionals from across the state of Indiana for a week of professional development opportunities. This year, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from 20 different presenters [including professionals from across the state and community partners] about best practices for supporting our students during the pandemic and beyond. The conference will include sessions focused on supporting our own wellness, effective practices for virtual career services, tailoring services to various student groups, employer relations, alumni engagement, and networking and other early career practices.

Virtual conference details: 

The virtual conference will take place via Zoom and attendees will be able to choose which sessions and how many sessions they want to attend throughout the week. Upon registration, attendees will receive a confirmation email of their registration.  A full program will be released in late April to registrants which will include:

  • Conference session zoom links;

  • Breakout session descriptions; and 

  • Information on how to access session materials and recordings after the conference.

The annual conference is free for current CDPI members.  If you need to renew your membership ($35), please click here for further information.  We ask you do so by May 10th to allow time for membership renewal processing.

Non-Member Conference Registration 

Non-members will be charged a fee of $45 at time of registration, and this fee includes conference registration and a one-year CDPI membership for eligible members.  A CDPI board members will email you requesting your details to create your membership instance prior to the conference.

Why do we charge for events?

CDPI is a non-profit organization that has recurring expenses like maintaining the website you are using right now, book-keepers, and grant opportunities for our members.  We rely on membership dues to keep our organization running!

PLAN YOUR TRIP

We're excited to host you in Bloomington, Indiana on the beautiful Indiana University Campus, home of the Indiana Hoosiers. 

As you book your trip, don’t forget: Bloomington is on Eastern Daylight Time—in case you are coming from Central Time.  Hotel accommodation fills up quickly, so make your reservation soon!

We’ve reserved a limited number of rooms at the Hyatt Place and Grant Street Inn in downtown Bloomington, a short walk from where the conference is hosted on campus. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

                     


  • Location:Indiana Memorial Union, 900 E 7th St, Bloomington, IN 47405
  • Our conference will start in the Georgian Room on the first floor of the IMU (click here for map)
  • Parking: There will be some parking available at the IMU, which is $2.50 per half hour or daily rate of $28. Cash and credit card is accepted. There is also hourly parking available downtown in the Poplars Parking Garage and at the Henderson Garage. More parking information is HERE.
