We are seeking unique and collaborative proposals from people within the field of higher education, career services, and/or employee recruitment who can lend their expertise to peers within the field. We have a particular interest in collaborative presentations related to:  

·        Professional connections – best practices in connecting with other offices, professions, or organizations

·        Students who are recent veterans – strategies to translate skills and experience to civilian life

·        Students who are parents – gaining experience while not working or not working in intended field

·        Students with disabilities – understanding and utilizing available resources

·        Students with nontraditional interests –  pursuing green, entrepreneurial, or other unique opportunities

·        Employer sessions – connecting students with employers early in their college careers

·        Serving students virtually

·        Serving students using technology

·        Helping working students market their current jobs appropriately

·        Perspectives from Human Resources

Presentations will be 45 minutes in length.

Information for Submitting a Proposal

All proposals must be submitted using this form to knfloyd@iupui.edu  by April 7, 2017. 

Presentation Required

Presenters are required to submit a final copy of their presentation, which will be posted on the CDPI website.  Presentations are due on or before Thursday, May 18, 2017.

We're excited to host you in Bloomington, Indiana on the beautiful Indiana University Campus, home of the Indiana Hoosiers. 

As you book your trip, don’t forget: Bloomington is on Eastern Daylight Time—in case you are coming from Central Time.  Hotel accommodation fills up quickly, so make your reservation soon!

We’ve reserved a limited number of rooms at the Hyatt Place and Grant Street Inn in downtown Bloomington, a short walk from where the conference is hosted on campus. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

                     


  • Location:Indiana Memorial Union, 900 E 7th St, Bloomington, IN 47405
  • Our conference will start in the Georgian Room on the first floor of the IMU (click here for map)
  • Parking: There will be some parking available at the IMU, which is $2.50 per half hour or daily rate of $28. Cash and credit card is accepted. There is also hourly parking available downtown in the Poplars Parking Garage and at the Henderson Garage. More parking information is HERE.
