Join us on December 6th from 9:00 to 10:30 AM as we discuss how to foster diversity, equity and belonging for LGBTQ+ students. Leading the session are Brandon Million, Mike Martinez, and Jeffry Neuhouser of MNM Equity Consulting. We are excited for you to join this session as they provide knowledge, insight, and resources to help career professionals in assisting the unique needs of our queer student populations.

Campuses and employers are learning to understand the importance of inclusive spaces, events, and language, but are these inclusion efforts resulting in a sense of belonging for the students? To help us answer this question as we navigate 2022-2023 academic year, CDPI (Career Development Professionals of Indiana) and CCCC (College Career Center Consortium of Indiana) are joining forced to continue the ongoing series "Fostering Diversity, Equity, and Belonging through Career Development."

Six-session are planned for the year with speakers and discussions about underserved student populations, including Latinx, International, Queer, Black, Veterans, and First Generation students. Each session will have:

  • Speaker(s) knowledgeable about the unique needs of the student population,
  • A discussion about available resources for both coaches and students,
  • Insight into how to prepare students to navigate the realities of inequitable workspace.
These sessions will be geared toward equipping coaches, advisors, student workers, and other campus staff or faculty with the skills and resources they need to serve these populations.
