Marketing and Branding for Career Services:  How to Build Awareness on Campus and Help Your Students Shine

Every day, your Career Services team works to help students stand out from the crowd, think strategically about career development, master skills such as networking and interviewing, get connected to internship and job opportunities, and so much more. Yet a common challenge remains:  how do you increase awareness on campus for these services, and get more students engaged? In this program, we’ll look at tips and tricks for success in raising the profile of your work among students and enhancing the reputation of your department as a go-to resource for all things career-related.

Brian Engelhart has over 25 years of experience in advertising, marketing, public relations and corporate communications. In his current role as Vice President of Marketing & Communication at Indiana Tech, Brian leads the university’s marketing and communication team, developing the strategies and tactics that connect Indiana Tech with prospective students as well as alumni, corporate partners and the community. Brian joined the Indiana Tech team in 2013.

Prior to his service at the university, Brian served as Director of Client Services at Britton Marketing & Design Group in Fort Wayne, where he oversaw the firm’s work on behalf of such clients as Benjamin Moore, Ace Hardware, Melrose International, Colwell Colour, CVS/Caremark, Peg Perego and more. Before joining the Britton team, Brian served as Senior Account Manager and Director of Public Relations at Asher Agency in Fort Wayne; Vice President for Client Services at Tran Interactive Design Group in Falls Church, Virginia; and Account Manager at Conover & Company Communications in Washington, D.C.

Brian and his wife Renee have called Fort Wayne home since 2003. They have two children, Grace, 17, and Justin, 15.
