Audience: The intended audience for this presentation are Master degree prepared career advisors/counselors.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define client readiness for career decision making

  • Score and interpret the CTI at total score, scale score, and individual item levels for self and different kinds of clients
  • Describe the reliability and validity of the inventory
  • Facilitate client reframing of negative career thoughts using the CTI Workbook and the Thinking More Helpful thoughts worksheet
  • Identify when referrals of clients to more intensive levels of career or mental health counseling might be appropriate

Outcome: Participants will be asked to share their experiences using the CTI at a future CDPI event
